The Opportunity:

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Marketing Communications Specialist to join us at our Bristol HQ. This is a permanent full-time role and offers the benefits of flexible hybrid working. Typically, this would require on average 2 days in our Bristol office per week with a choice of working from home on the other days (following an initial induction period).

The Triodos Bank UK (TBUK) Marketing team has a key role to play in contributing to the bank’s strategic development, as part of the Triodos Group Commercial function.

Its remit is to help Triodos Bank Group, and TBUK within this, realise commercial and thought leadership targets. It does this by acquiring and retaining new customers and deepening relationships with them, initiating and executing an integrated mix of marketing activities.

The Marketing Communications Specialist will lead in orchestrating vibrant and cohesive marketing communications that amplify our brand voice across all channels and touchpoints.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • To work closely with the Segment Marketer (Retail Banking) across all aspects of the bank’s marketing activity, as part of a small multi-disciplinary team including digital and content specialists.
  • Support with integrated campaign planning and delivery for Retail Banking (Personal Current Account, Savings, Investment fund sales and direct investments via our Crowdfunding Platform) with a focus on new customer acquisition and existing customer cross sell.
  • Supporting a full range of marketing activity - planning, development, deployment, evaluation, and reporting and advising on the right mix of activities.
  • Supporting the creation and delivery of customer facing marketing and communications materials and content including digital assets, advertising and films for use in appropriate owned channels (social media, website) and partner channels.
  • Creating and executing content for online and offline campaigns and communications (e-mail, web, video, podcast, messages, events etc.) based on marketing mixed decided by squad, for campaigns, always-on and ad hoc activities.
  • Setting up content flows from campaign to conversation.​
  • Delivering pro-active web content management, coordinating periodic reviews of content by stakeholders.​
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance/results on specific KPIs for marketing communications.​
  • Representing TBUK marketing in inter-departmental projects on behalf of the team.
  • To comply with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to help ensure ethical behaviour, working to deliver good customer outcomes and avoiding foreseeable harm in line with Triodos’ practice of putting customers at the heart of what we do.

What we are looking for:

  • A good understanding of marketing and communications principles, with a solid strong track record supporting delivery of campaigns, promotions, and a wide range of materials on time and within budget
  • Ability in writing effective marketing and communications strategies and plans.
  • Experience planning, delivering and reporting on marketing and communications and/or sales projects and campaigns.
  • Experience of using current marketing tools and techniques to plan, deliver and report activity across different channels.
  • A track record of positive agency/supplier management, including but not limited to creative agencies, media buying agencies, digital agencies and copy writers.
  • Experience of working with creative software – in particular Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Good administration and project management skills with an ability to handle multiple projects and work streams quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to present information clearly and with confidence and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • An understanding of UK financial promotions compliance.
  • A sound working knowledge and understanding of sustainable & ethical business/charity and consumer topics and issues and to be able to show initiative.
  • Previous experience of working in either a financial services organisation or other regulated sector is desirable for this opportunity.

Offer

In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a full-time equivalent salary of between £36,000 - £45,000 depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory.
