Job Details

Function

The Policy Manager will coordinate the work of the Value Added Medicines (VAM) Sector Group in shaping policies on various topics, supporting both internal and external outreach and be responsible for managing Medicines for Europe’s contribution to REMEDI4ALL.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and supporting the Value Added Medicines Sector Group in the different projects and workstreams:
    • Managing the corresponding Working Group and Task Forces.
    • Organising Working Group and Task Force meetings including drafting the agenda, minutes, reports and briefing notes.
    • Monitoring, analysing and advising members on the latest European policy and legislation, their impact on both pharmaceutical markets as well as on national market access policy developments across Europe.
    • Drafting responses to public consultations, developing position papers and advocacy strategies as well as contributing to creating communications and educational materials.
    • Collaborating with institutional and non-institutional stakeholders including the European Commission, National Competent Authorities, European Payer and Insurers Associations in order to advocate Medicines for Europe’s stance.
  • Managing Medicines for Europe’s contribution to REMEDI4ALL:
    • Within REMEDI4ALL (Horizon Europe project), you will ensure timely delivery of projects’ goals and milestones in collaboration with other project partners.
  • Contributing to the organisation of conferences including their program development.
  • Liaising with and providing support to other Medicines for Europe Sector Groups, Committees and Working Groups on horizontal issues.

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Healthcare Policy, Health Economics or other relevant sciences.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in Health, Pharmaceutical or Industrial Policy.
  • Understanding of the European Pharmaceutical Framework, Market Dynamics and Policies (EU and national).
  • Excellent English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Strategic thinker, able to turn the complex into clear messages.
  • A quick learner with a politically savvy mind.
  • Strong communicator, able to network with excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a multi-cultural, international environment.
