My client is a company located in the European centre in Brussels (Belgium). The company employs 84 people (highly intellectual environment) and has to be considered as a business catalyst in Europe for European industries and consumers and has 43 members (countries, experts from the industries, etc).
Through their services they provide platforms for the development of European Standards and other technical specs. Since the continuous growth of the company they are looking for a new colleague to strengthen its Electrotechnical unit.
Job Details
Function
You will be part of a team of 4 project managers devoted to different subjects. Thanks to your electrotechnical background you will be entitled to:
• Strengthen the support to the electrotechnical sector in Europe
• Meet its challenges:
• Keeping global relevance through a strong link with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
• Attend and contribute to relevant seminars and conferences in order to inform about and promote my client technical activities
• Pro-actively cooperate in the development of EC/EFTA standardization requests and ensuring their timely execution
• Prepare documents for decisions by/recommendation to the relevant governing bodies and ensure proper follow up
• Ensure consistent and coherent contributions to cross-departmental activities, through effective collaboration with other units
• Facilitate the introduction of innovative topics and/or new initiatives in the standardization work
Profile
• Master Degree in Engineering or university degree with relevant technical experience
• Outstanding knowledge of English (oral and written skills)
• Pro-active and positive attitude, flexible and adaptable approach to problem solving
• Effective planning, organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to manage simultaneously multiple projects
• Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to structure and present complex information in a simple way
• Excellent negotiation and networking skills
• Ability to work in multicultural environment/team and to respond to needs and expectations from divergent stakeholders
• Ready to travel 1 or 2 days/month in Europe
