Job Details
Function
- The Manufacturing Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the day to day maintenance services in a cost effective way and for ensuring that all machines, mechanical and electrical systems, equipment and facilities are in an excellent service.
- Oversees, plans and monitors all maintenance activities and continually improves maintenance processes and maintenance personnel performance to achieve enhanced levels of efficiency.
- Functionally and operationally manages and coordinates all activities related to the maintenance activities in the Yarns Europe production sites.
- Reports hierarchically to the Manufacturing Manager Europe.
- Manages functionally all local maintenance personnel and activities in the Europe production plants.
Main responsibilities
- Acts as a Division SPOC for all maintenance activities in the Europe production plants..
- Makes sure that all maintenance activities in the production sites organization are compliant with procedures and decisions taken in management, especially new changes installed (control plan)
- Provides on the floor control and monitoring with a focus on establishing a “stable operations”
- On the floor change agent of all employees in supervising roles (culture)
- Manages operationally all local activities in the maintenance
- Concerned with overseeing and controlling the maintenance processes and assists in redesigning business operations in the production of goods or services (workgroups).
- The role involves the responsibility of ensuring that business operations are efficient in terms of using as few resources as needed and effective in terms of meeting customer requirements.
- The role is concerned with managing the process that provides excellent services in all maintenance activities to ensure perfect throughput operations.
Main fonctional objectives
- Management
- Pursue an optimal preventive and curative maintenance of
- Extrusion and Heatset production,
- Technical and machine installations and
- Buildings, facilities, and grounds
- Manage spare parts
- Organize machine and buildings maintenance (5S)
- Take the necessary measures after internal or external complaints (prevention)
- Take full responsibility for all mechanical and electrical installations
- Coordinate all activities related to energy
- Run and organize the installation of new production machines and new technical installations
- Run and organize new infrastructure activities
- Prepare annual budgets and investments in maintenance activities
- Follow-up of allocated budgets, investments and monitor the KPI’s
- Continuously improve all activities in maintenance ( Annual investment plan aligned with strategy)
- Follow up new machinery and technical developments
- Represent the company at exhibitions, lectures, meetings, etc.
- People management
- Functionally manage all employees in maintenance activities
- Optimize staffing and organization (job descriptions, training, evaluation, …)
- Monitor the correct implementation of procedures (AR, ISO, etc.)
- Follow up and help to set the safety and environmental regulations
- General
- Contribute to new technical, technological, and commercial developments.
- Cooperate in and facilitate strategic projects such as OPEX
Profile
Education and Experience
- Proven track record and solid working experience in production
- Preferably experience with Yarns production
- Profound leadership skills
- Knowledge of the impact of the task on the relevant environmental aspects (eg correct sorting of waste, dealing with chemical spills, knowledge of emergency plans)
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge of Yarns products and processes
- Excellent knowledge of production processes, procedures and machinery
- Familiarity in using a full range of continuous improvement tools and quality fundamentals & tools.
- Good skills on Window, Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook.

Languages
- Dutch (BE) or French (FR) mother tongue
