The Opportunity
We are delighted to be recruiting for Relationship Manager – Portfolio Management, to join our growing relationship management team at our Bristol Head Office.
As part of a fast growing business and a leading light in sustainable banking, you will play a front line role servicing and managing your own portfolio of customers as well as assisting our Relationship Managers deliver a range of complex debt finance banking transactions and in developing and maintaining new and existing customer relationships. This will involve using your own resources, working with the Senior Managers and Team Leaders as well as other Relationship Managers to deal with new lending and deposit enquiries and analyse customer and project financial information, together with the preparation of both new loan approvals and regular credit reviews and supporting the team more generally with portfolio reporting and management.

Key Responsibilities will require you to:
- Manage specific new lending and refinance transactions for customers and present credit assessments to the Bank’s UK Credit Committee and Executive Board (as directed by a Relationship Manager) in furtherance of the Bank’s stated business objectives
- Directly manage customer relationships both in terms of credit risk and operational performance
- Prepare annual reviews including financial models for review by Relationship Managers
- Prepare credit proposals including financial models for review by Relationship Managers
- Produce and update credit ratings for renewable energy projects as required
- Project manage the delivery of the Environment Team’s input into credit related projects and initiatives
- Assess new loan proposals from borrowers and providing communication links with Relationship Managers
- Effectively engage with and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Provide marketing support at industry events and conferences
- Comply with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to help ensure ethical behaviour which delivers fair outcomes for TBUK customers

What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to learn and develop both relationship management and credit skills. You will have confidence in presenting and the ability to communicate effectively to large groups combined with strong excel and PC skills are required. A clean driving licence, a willingness to travel, and a genuine interest in people and the environment are also key elements to this opportunity.
Desired Experience
- Relevant banking experience ideally with some exposure to non-recourse project finance based lending, lending products and/or the environmental sector
- Good analytical, organisational, advanced excel and communication skills
- Financial modelling, reporting and analysing data
- Experience of dealing with banking customers
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder management skills
- a business or financial qualification would be desirable
- experience of using Triton is beneficial

In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a competitive salary of between 41k – 51k depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory! Our benefits include:
