The Opportunity
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Credit Manager to join our growing Risk team at our Bristol Head Office.
In this Key role you will be manage credit facilities with the Business Banking team, so that we provide credit to suitable customers at fair levels of risk and reward.
In addition you manage all UK Credit Policies and Processes, aligning with Group policies where required and oversee management of high-risk relationships and none-performing business loans.

Key Responsibilities will require you to:
- Represent Credit in all Business Banking lending related projects
- Maintain a 2nd Line QA function of 1st Line decisions and mandates
- Identify none default cases that need Intensive management and/or bringing into Credit
- Provide Reporting and forecasting of Bad Debt and Forbearance Provisions
- Attend Credit Committee as part of the collective decision making unit on new credit proposals, reviews and revisions
- Manage relationships with external suppliers of credit information and other risk management services.
- Monitor and report the performance of the loan portfolio, identifying adverse movements and excesses
- Produce accurate and timely risk reports on the loan portfolio at pre-defined frequencies and ad hoc for local and Group management
- Deputise for Head of Credit Risk UK as required.
- Support the Credit Analysis function as volumes dictate to ensure SLAs are met at all times
- Comply with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to help ensure ethical behaviour which delivers fair outcomes for TBUK customers

What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you will have experience of dealing with UK business lending, including managing high-risk clients to recovery combined with a thorough knowledge and working experience of current legal practice, risk appraisal, and lending practice. An understanding of underwriting of commercial loans and overdrafts would also be highly desirable
You will have a detailed approach to information analysis and decision-making and the ability to display a commercial appreciation of customers’ needs, balanced against risk and return involved in existing lending positions.

Offer
In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a competitive salary of between 53k – 59k depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory! Our benefits include:
