Function
Overview:
The Grant Manager’s responsibilities include planning and implementing grant programs for research projects from application to approval in close collaboration with the research teams and in compliance with institutional processes.
He/she has the ability to perform grant research, grant writing, grant program design and implementation and grant reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the grants requirement and implementation for IJB research department
- Identify and develop strategies to optimize the grants submissions and administration process
- Perform relevant research to identify available grant opportunities and evaluate the results
- Direct involvement in grant writing in collaboration with the researchers
- Keep the relevant staff informed about upcoming deadlines and deliverables
- Monitor paperwork and other related documents connected with grant-funded programs
- Maintain records of successful/unsuccessful grant submissions
- Prepare reports for all grant related activities
Profile
- Relevant master degree, preferably in the scientific, biomedical or paramedical field
- Strong knowledge of clinical research process and medical terminology
- Fluent in French or Dutch
- Native-like proficiency in English
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good communication, negotiation and people skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Be familiar with Microsoft Office
