ICT System Support Co-Worker – Bristol
Our ICT team are responsible for undertaking first and second line support for ICT and telephone systems in the UK. The team also support the central ICT department in network and system administration, take an active part in relevant ICT projects, and own the Configuration Management database and knowledge base.
Responsibilities
- Providing first- and second-line support to users for hardware, software, audio-visual, network, and telecommunications (fixed and mobile)
- Logging of all incidents and requests and escalation to appropriate teams where necessary
- Execution of common service requests such as equipment loan and account unlock
- Proactive prioritisation and resolution of requests
- Specific systems administration tasks as directed
- Liaising with ICT Services regarding network and system administration and security
- Supporting the implementation of new software in test and production environments
- Responsible for monitoring back up processes
- Taking part in ICT projects concerning the overall system and network
- Administration and induction of new system users
- Active participation in end-user engagement programme
- Configuration management including documentation
- Maintenance of end user and team knowledge bases
- Review and improve IT working processes
- Cost effective procurement of new hardware and software and any follow up requirements including warranties, configuration, and secure disposal
- Execution of standard and complex authorisation management processes
- Support with the delivery of local security, business continuity and change management activities
- Provision of statistical input for monthly reporting
- Leading small ICT change projects
- Comply with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to help ensure ethical behaviour which delivers fair outcomes for TBUK customers

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have experience in working with the technical part of ICT, preferably involving significant multi-channel liaison with end users and 3rd party suppliers. You will have sound computer literacy, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to prioritise and the capacity to think clearly under pressure. You will be able to manage expectations and be willing and able to deal with a diverse range of characters.
