The Opportunity:
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant to join our highly regarded finance department at our Bristol Head Office. This is a full-time role permanent role available and offers the benefits of a flexible hybrid working. Typically, this would require 1-2 days in our Bristol office per week with a choice of working from home on the other days (following an initial induction period).
As Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant you will report to the Business Performance and Strategy Manager and will be responsible for supporting financial planning and analysis activity within the team and wider organisation. This role has lots of scope and a wide-ranging variety of responsibilities due to the relatively small team size.
Key responsibilities will require you to:
- Provide ownership for the planning and co-ordination of the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure smooth delivery in line with UK and Group timetables.
- Provide delivery of the budgeting and forecasting process for balance sheet, profitability, capital and liquidity by working in collaboration with stakeholders around the business
- Challenge existing processes, adopting a continuous improvement approach to forecasting.
- Preparation of clear, accurate budget/forecast materials used to update the Board, CEO, CFO, SMT and Committees as relevant, adopting a ‘no surprises’ approach to help manage expectations effectively.
- Support the preparation of the monthly Business Performance pack including consolidation of data and writing of commentary.
- Track and report on progress against longer term strategic deliverables including financial and non-financial objectives.
- Deliver effective business partnering of budget owners and product teams including lending, deposit and other income generation activities.
- Comply with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to help ensure ethical behaviour, working to deliver good customer outcomes and avoiding foreseeable harm in line with Triodos’ practice of putting customers at the heart of what we do.
What we are looking for:
This role requires an appropriate accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), combined with relevant post qualification experience preferably within an FP&A team or financial services. You will have the ability to understand and refine complex financial models and to understand the mathematical principles behind them.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages, especially Excel and PowerPoint and strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines are needed for this opportunity.
You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels and will possess excellent stakeholder management skills combined with the ability to communicate complex issues and ideas in simple terms.

Offer
In return for your hard work and expertise, you will receive a Full-time equivalent salary of between £44,000 -£47,000 depending on experience, plus access to our extensive benefits package, where most of our benefits are non-contributory.
